Mayor, Councillor Jackson Minford, has announced Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke, and the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice as his Mayoral Charities for his 2025-2026 term of office.
Northern Ireland Children's Hospice
Northern Ireland Children's Hospice supports babies, children and their families through a range of children’s services with their multi-disciplinary team.
These services include specialist nursing care at home, supported breaks in their In-Patient Unit, end-of life care and family and bereavement support.
They also work in partnership with the NHS to support parents with their antenatal care service, Tiny Horizons.
It’s only with your help that they can care for thousands of babies, children and adults across Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke
Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke’s (NICHS) vision is a healthy Northern Ireland free from chest, heart, and stroke illnesses.
Established in 1946, they work with people of all ages across the country, delivering vital care and prevention services, supporting ground-breaking research and campaigning for change.
Today, as many as 470,000 people in Northern Ireland are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition and they are committed to supporting them.
With almost 90% of their income coming exclusively from public donations, they need your help to continue to help thousands of local people and their families rebuild their lives.
